- If you paid a reschedule fee after failing or missing an exam, there is a 21-day waiting period before your exam eligibility is sent to PSI Exams for you to reschedule.
- Exams can be scheduled by clicking here.
- If you need to pay the $100 exam reschedule fee, click here CSLB ePayment Service. You DO NOT need to mail in a form. It takes 24 – 48 hours to process the exam fee.

- Translator Testing: All translator forms are reviewed in the order they are received. Your translator must be approved by CSLB before scheduling with PSI Exams. CSLB will inform you by mail if your translator is approved or denied. You can also check your application status online.
- If you have passed your required exam(s), you will be mailed a letter explaining what requirements are needed. If you still have questions, email Issuance@cslb.ca.gov or click on this link to read Issuance Information Issuing My License.
- If you have submitted your application and want status, call (800)321-2752 press option 6 or go online Secured-Application Status. You will need your application and pin number.
- CSLB uses PSI Exams to administer the contractor examinations. To schedule, reschedule, or cancel an exam two or more days prior to your exam date, go to https://test-takers.
psiexams.com/cacon or call PSI directly at (877)392-6422 option 2. Your Candidate ID number is your CSLB application number. Please refer to the CSLB Licensing Examination Information Guide on PSI’s website for detailed information. - To request a duplicate fingerprint/Livescan packet or general criminal background questions call the Criminal Background Unit (CBU) at (916)255-1007. Fingerprint/Livescan documents should be mailed to CSLB, PO BOX 26000, Sacramento CA 95826.
