The C-47 General Manufactured Housing contractor’s license exam manual uses the General Building Manual with a substantial C-47 supplement. The supplement includes excerpts from Title 25. The last section of the General Manufactured Housing Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.
The Math Review lecture covers the math formulas in the first part of the manual. The General Building Part 1, and Part 2 Lectures cover the topics the General Building section of the C47 General Manufactured Housing Manual. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders which is the last chapter of the manual. The General Building Review Questions lecture covers the General Building Review Questions at the back of the back of the manual.
Please be sure to study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.
Do not memorize the sample practice exam questions. This is a multiple-choice examination with four choices per question. Some questions require mathematical computation. Examination questions are written to provide only one BEST answer and are NOT written as trick questions.
There is no penalty for guessing. If you are unsure about a particular question, it is better to try to answer the question than to leave the question blank. Ample time is provided to answer all examination questions, so be sure to read each question and its four choices completely and carefully before selecting the BEST possible answer to the question.

(a) A C-47 general manufactured housing contractor installs, alters, repairs, or prepares for moving any type of manufactured home as defined in Section 18007 of the Health and Safety Code, any type of mobile home as defined in Section 18008 of the Health and Safety Code, and any type of multifamily manufactured home as defined in Section 18008.7 of the Health and Safety Code, including the accessory buildings or structures, and the foundations. A manufactured home does not include any recreational vehicle, commercial coach, or factory-built housing as defined in Section 19971 of the Health and Safety Code.
(b) A C-47 general manufactured housing contractor may provide utility services on a single-family individual site placement. Utility services mean the connection of gas, water, sewer, and electrical utilities to the home.
