The C32 Parking and Highway Improvement contractors license exam manual briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Traffic Control, Asphalt, Pavement Structure and Repair, Pavement Markers, Traffic Stripes and Pavement Markings, Airport Markings, Parking Area Design, and Accessible Parking. The Parking and Highway Improvement Manual also contains the Health and Safety Orders and Parking and Highway Improvement Review Questions.
The Math Review Lecture explains the math formulas in the first part of the Parking and Highway Improvement Manual. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Parking and Highway Improvement manual.
Please be sure to study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.
Do not memorize the sample practice exam questions. This is a multiple-choice examination with four choices per question. Some questions require mathematical computation. Examination questions are written to provide only one BEST answer and are NOT written as trick questions.
There is no penalty for guessing. If you are unsure about a particular question, it is better to try to answer the question than to leave the question blank. Ample time is provided to answer all examination questions, so be sure to read each question and its four choices completely and carefully before selecting the BEST possible answer to the question.

A C32 parking and highway improvement contractor applies and installs protective coatings, vehicle stops, guard rails and mechanical devices, directional lines, buttons, markers, signs and arrows on the horizontal surface of any game court, parking facility, airport, highway or roadway constructed of concrete, asphalt or similar materials. This classification includes the surface preparatory work necessary for the application of protective coatings but does not include the re-paving of these surfaces.
