The C-46 Solar Contractor trade study book is a physical study book shipped directly to the customer for CSLB trade exam preparation. This is a multiple-choice examination with four choices per question. Some questions require mathematical computation. Examination questions are written to provide only one BEST answer and are NOT written as trick questions. There is no penalty for guessing. If you are unsure about a particular question, it is better to try to answer the question than to leave the question blank.

The C-46 -Solar Contractor classification covers the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of thermal and photovoltaic solar energy systems. Contractors in this classification work with systems designed to collect and convert solar energy for electrical generation, water or space heating, and other approved applications. Work may involve photovoltaic modules, mounting systems, thermal solar components, controls, associated piping or wiring, and other equipment necessary for a complete solar installation. CSLB limits C-46 contractors to other building or construction work when that work is required for installation of the thermal or photovoltaic solar energy system.
