The C-46 Solar contractor’s license exam manual covers Energy Conservation, Solar Space Heating and Cooling, Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating (DHW) Systems, Photovoltaic Power Systems, and Basic Electrical Theory. The manual also includes summaries of the National Electrical Code, California Plumbing Code, California Mechanical Code, California Building Code, and the Health and Safety Orders.
The Math Review Lecture covers the math formulas in the first part of the Solar manual. The Solar Lecture covers the topics in the Solar manual specific to the C-46 exam. The Health and Safety Lecture covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Solar manual. The Solar Review Questions lecture covers the Solar Review Questions in the back of the manual. Do not memorize the sample practice exam questions.
This is a multiple-choice examination with four choices per question. Some questions require mathematical computation. Examination questions are written to provide only one BEST answer and are NOT written as trick questions. There is no penalty for guessing.
